Why Choose Washington?

• At Washington, we believe in building a positive school culture through PBIS activities, academically safe and engaging classroom practices, physically safe buildings, and extracurricular options to engage students in school. 
• Students at Washington have many opportunities for in-depth, comprehensive instruction in music. Students have the option to take piano instruction in a group setting once per week, and may also participate in band, choir, orchestra, jazz band, and show choir. We also offer an after-school Mariachi program that honors the culture of many of our students. 
• Seventh and eighth grade students have the opportunity to participate in the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) program. This program provides a comprehensive system to support students academically, socially, and emotionally so they are prepared to attend a four-year university. 
• We are proud of our diversity at Washington, and have resources to support English Language Learners. 
• Washington offers support for students who are considered Gifted & Talented.
